Course Overview
While field work can be extremely rewarding, there are a number of hazards to be aware of. Field work can expose organisation members to a multitude of hazards. As a result, this module is intended to make individuals who may be required to conduct field work aware of potential hazards they could face in the course of their work. The learner will be provided with basic information associated with working outdoors, risk management strategies, and personal safety.
Learners will be made aware of the more common hazards they may face in the field. The purpose is to equip them with the skills to spot hazards and risks, know how to avoid or treat these hazards, and the proper procedures to deal with the hazards if they are unavoidable.
