Course Overview
This module has been developed to provide an understanding of how to use hand tools and power tools safely in a workshop environment. It is designed to increase awareness of the important of safety precautions, as well as the PPE, storage and maintenance requirements for specific hand tools and power tools.

- General safety tips for power tools
- Specific safety tips and precautions for power tools, including:
- Sanders
- Portable power drills

- Storage and maintenance of tools
- Procedures for unsafe / faulty tools
Learning Outcomes
At the completion of this course, learners should:- Identify and select the most appropriate hand tool for a task
