A Workplace Safety Guide for Working at Heights

Course Overview

Falls from heights are a major workplace hazard resulting in fatalities and injuries across a broad range of industries.

The objective of State and Territory regulations pertaining to work at heights is to prevent falls, and to prevent or reduce injury resulting from those falls. Generally, organisations are required to identify all fall hazards, assess the risk of all hazards identified and eliminate the risk. If elimination of the risk is not practicable, then it must be reduced as far as possible. This must be done by arranging for tasks to be performed on the ground or on a suitable platform.

This package will cover the requirements for various types of work from ladders to elevated work platforms, and safe access to roofs and other structures.
