Contractor Management
Course Overview
The procurement of non-consumables is a key component of any organisation. As such, hazards must be considered during the purchasing process, through conducting risk assessments in order to ensure the effective and efficient purchasing of products. The use of contractors is also becoming more prevalent, and effective contractor management processes are required to ensure adequate selection, safety and use of contractors occurs. Both purchasing and contract management procedures aim to ensure safety, health, environment and quality requirements are adhered to.
This module outlines both the purchasing process and the contract management process that managers are required to become more familiar with. More specifically, this module also examines the risk management considerations that managers need to be aware of when purchasing and managing contracts and contractors.
