Course Overview
Organisations are constantly developing intellectual property, which usually gives them a competitive advantage in the business arena. This proprietary knowledge is important for organisational success and must be protected from being utilised by other organisations or competitors.
This module discusses the key concepts of intellectual property and identifies the most common types of proprietary knowledge that organisations, managers and employees are exposed to. Relevant legislation and consequences of breach are identified and strategies for protecting intellectual property are described and evaluated.
