Job Safety Analysis (JSA)

Course Overview

Safety in the workplace is an important consideration for managers. Not only do they need to ensure their own health and wellbeing, but the safety of others is a key concern. By conducting a Job Safety Analysis (JSA), managers are able to identify hazards and develop control mechanisms to manage them. Planning for safety before commencing a task ensures employees are aware of their work requirements and know how to perform the task safely.

This module discusses the stages of a JSA and ways in which a JSA can be conducted. The learner will be shown how to conduct a JSA and will consequently be able to contribute to a safer workplace.
