Manager Induction
Course Overview
In any organisation it is important that there is a well-conceived induction program for Managers to ensure that they are fully familiar with the organisation, how it functions and their roles and responsibilities within it; such an induction will ensure their effective integration into the business.
This Manager Induction program is designed to provide newly-appointed Managers with practical information to support their transition into their managerial and leadership role. The module provides Managers with practical day-to-day operational information that they may require in undertaking this role.
The term Manager is applied broadly to include Team Leaders, Supervisors, Managers and any other role that involves supervising or managing employees.
Key Content- Implementation of strategic framework of the organisation, including key policy and procedural guidelines;
- Professional behavioural standards and expectations;
- Performance standards and guidelines for delivering on key managerial responsibilities;
- Useful management, leadership and communication tips and techniques;
- Scope of Managerial Responsibility:
- Managing People;
- Managing Information, Records and Communication;
- Managing Risk;
- Managing Finances.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this training, the Manager will be able to:- Discuss the policy framework that governs the organisation and impacts on their role as manager.
- Deliver on the organisation's vision and values.
- Act in accordance with the organisation's Management Code of Conduct.
- Explain the nature and scope of key managerial responsibilities within the organization.
- Explain the basic procedures associated with fulfilling their managerial responsibilities.
- Explain the key leadership, management and communication skills and techniques associated with the role of an effective manager.
