Noise and Hearing Conservation in the Workplace

Course Overview

Noise is an everyday occurrence and is usually not an issue we are concerned with. However, some work tasks, sites, or activities can generate a significant amount of sound that could potentially lead to hearing damage or hearing-related injuries. In such environments short and long-term noise management strategies must be implemented in all workplaces to prevent exposed employees from developing hearing loss.

This learning module will provide learners with information about the human ear and how it is damaged by noise, what hearing damage can entail, and what is being done to help protect them from hearing loss.
